New bench

There are those among you out there who know that I have a thing for these French municipal park benches from the 60's and 70's. These days they're rather sought after but I just love their metal curve and I particularly like the ones that are now banned because Health and Safety (normally a rarity in France) decreed that a child less than 3 years old could insert a finger in one of their metallic holes.

I believe I remember doing that myself.

Anyway.

L discovered this one on a site called Le Bon Coin for a tiddly 80 euros. The deal was done and on collection day ..... the car with the tow-bar wouldn't start. To cut a long story short, we finally got it home with the help of L's lovely brother and i'm just about to paint it. At the moment it is Majorelle Blue (a colour much used in YSL's garden in Marrakesh). But today we discovered that, lovely as this colour is, it doesn't go that well with, or rather on, my linen pants.
So we're just waiting for a windless day to paint.
