Smiles from the Past

Today we took D & D to the Cultural Center Museum, which houses exhibits that depict the rich history of the Oaxaca area. These artifacts were found at the archaeological site of Monte Albán, where we visited Monday.

Monte Albán was the power center of the region for at least the 12oo years between 500 B.C. and 750 A.D. It was the capital of the Zapotec people, one of the indigenous groups who still live in Oaxaca today.
