Easter at the Hillier Gardens
This morning we had a Zoom meeting with my sister and her husband who live in Maitland, in eastern Australia. Then we took my mother and her sister to visit the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, near Romsey. This is a view of Jermyns House, which was the Hilliers' home, but which can now be hired for weddings and other special events, and is used for meetings by Hampshire County Council. It has a new restaurant adjoining the house. The gardens were looking splendid, and had recovered well after the ravages of Storm Eunice and the more recent snow, frost and hail, and we enjoyed several hours there.
The extras show Magnolia "Pinkie" and a Rhododendron.
