Parque Retiro -Madrid day 3

You could spend all day at this park - it's humongous.  A huge lake, gardens, fountains, musicians, cafes...perfect way to spend a few hours in the sun. 

We visited the gallery which houses Picasso's famous Guernica which was impressive, for its size as much as anything. Despite being the most well-known painting in the gallery, it wasn't my favourite, although incredible in its scale and meaning. Un Mundo (A World) by Angeles Santos Torroella was, for me, magical.

We went back to the restaurant that Ava and I found last night for more deliciousness. Then for ice cream and waffles. Joe chose something as big as his head.
