Everyday Engineering #3: Light

Today I replaced the last of the old-style halogen spotlights with an equivalent LED bulb. Apart from using significantly less energy they seem to last forever.
Because I've replaced them all bit by bit, we have a variety of styles of LED bulb in the house. These new bulbs are the oddest looking yet, but they are really bright.
