Easter Brunch
We had brunch with a lovely group of Dana and Jim's friends who live in the neighborhood and all have children about the same age. Some of 'children' were there too, including Will. There were also three yellow retrievers cavorting in and around the pool. We sat in the sun, ate ham and scalloped potatoes, biscuits and asparagus and salad. We drank champagne and other nice wines brought by people in the business or just appreciate good wine.
Eventually we were encouraged to go home and get Spike before dessert. Especially since the one on the left was mine. We weren't sure how he would be with three wet, rambunctious dogs but he was unphased, walking under the table and over people's feet and getting a lot of attention from everyone.
It was a nice day...nice weather, nice food, nice people and pleasant conversation. One of the guests found and removed a sticker in
Spike's ear. (Spaniel ears are really cute but definitely a design flaw.) This may have been the reason why he kept us awake half the night. I just sent Ann a text saying I'm a bad dog mom and thanking her for taking over.
I hope everyone had an equally nice day, however it was spent.
