Daffodils

We did lots of gardening yesterday - particularly hubby who worked most of the day on the front garden which is transformed now - weeds and dead leaves from our big magnolia tree all gone. He also cut the lawn in the back garden. I cut back the fuschia (which are usually cut back weeks before now, but the weather's been so awful) and removed dead fern leaves which were tangled up with the hyacinths. So a most productive day! I also brought some more daffodils indoors which were bending over or that I felt could be spared. The gorgeous peach centred ones are out now - they're my favourites, together with the frilly white ones (which have finished now). As I mentioned before, they all bring back memories of my mum who gave them to us the year before she died.

I bought another 1000 piece jigsaw from the charity shop today - hours of enjoyment for £2 isn't bad! So I daresay the finished puzzle will be blipped within the next week. Honey mustard chicken for lunch today with rice, carrots, parsnip and corn - must get back to the kitchen soon to cook the rice!
