Traditions

For a number of years now, when I've been on shift over the "Easter Weekend" I would treat the guys on shift to a Cadburys Creme Egg.

So much so they now expect one... The cheeky lot that they are!

But it got me thinking about the other traditions that we have grown accustomed to celebrating over Christmas, our birthdays, other significant dates in the year's calendar and especially this weekend...

Easter.

Some will go egg hunting and egg rolling. Some will head off to church. Some will gather with family and friends for a meal.

All will be significant in one way or another for each individual.

Yet for myself, this day especially will be always be remembered for when the "Course of History" changed forever.

Jesus's resurrection from death and way was created for us as human beings to once again have a relationship with God.

I'll keep on enjoying all the traditions that go along with this weekend but I'll always be grateful for what the creator of the Universe has done for me.
