Burns Mausoleum
St Michael's kirkyard, Dumfries
Bright sunny day, really warm in sheltered spots but with a chill on the wind.
Some interesting memorials at St Michael's, including a few surnames which are familiar from the family tree. No direct connections I'm aware of; some research might need to be done to be sure.
From here headed to The Crichton to walk around the campus. Some striking magnolias and cherry blossom in the park grounds and rockery garden.
Short walk at the River Nith in Dumfries itself, by White Sands. River much lower than a previous visit I made when there were signs warning "flood imminent". Today it was fast flowing but well within its banks.
