WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

By lizzie_birkett

Local Elections…

…and only two choices! Conservatives or Greens - a no brainer!
We went for a walk after lunch along the canal in Gargrave. The Canal and River Trust (CRT) have emptied a section of it between two locks for maintenance and we wanted to see it.
After that we popped to the garden centre as I wanted some wildflower seeds to sprinkle round one of the dwarf apple trees.
I got a prompt for writing a poem called ‘Things I learned…’ but it’s still in progress. Each time I think I’ve finished it I think of something to add.

Tomorrow a lady is coming to learn some ukulele. I don’t know her.
Frank volunteered me in my absence and I was not best pleased at first but then felt a bit guilty. I’ll see how it goes.

This morning I wrote our local MP (after Harling Darling shared a post on FB ) to tell him in no uncertain terms my thoughts on the Rwanda debacle and also that I want the PM to resign as he is not fit to govern. He is untrustworthy.

I was ranting at the telly this afternoon while Boris was doing his apology thing. It makes me so angry that he gets away with things other folk would be dismissed for!
As for the Russian Invasion - it just gets worse and ever more heartbreaking. A fellow blipper Mambo alerted me to a Ukrainian Blipper who I am now following. His journal is real life. :-/

Anyway, it’s Gentleman Jack again now.
Goodnight Blippers ;-) X
