Fresh from the farmers market

The strawberries are local from about five miles away. I think I ate 20 driving home..,dirt and all!

Melissa who owns the market says the cantaloupe and purple Cherokee heirloom tomatoes were from Florida. The tomatoes are so good even though they are not regular tomato color!


All the electric is working in the screened porch. The man took a day off and went to fish in the pond for a while. But now he is working on the last of the bead board to cover where the outlets etc are. Once this is done we have the other screen door to hang then the major work of replacing the roof. I hope I can talk him into getting it done by the company that replaced are house roof about five years ago. So why did he not get them to do the porch at the same time???



Tomorrow is the monthly classmate lunch which will be here. We will use the front porch for a picnic lunch since the weather is great for now.


I hate the thought of the heat and humidity coming!
