Vaccinating Team day out

Seven of us met at the Glenridding steamer car park. We sailed to Howtown on the ‘Lady of the Lake’. It was sunny and quite windy. Early refreshments were taken at the Tea Room at Howtown. Delicious warm cheese scones and an excellent selection of cakes. I’d recommend it.
We eventually started walking after 11. The path back towards Glenridding is undulating and rocky underfoot in parts. We ate our packed lunches, see extra, opposite the Airaforce landing pier. Eventually landing back at the car at ‘no idea o’clock’! Having walked just short of 20,000 steps, or approximately 7 miles ish.
Cake, coffee and ice-cream was welcomed on a picnic bench near the car. It’s been fabulous catching up with this group of ladies and we’ve planned to do similar next month. There’ll be a few aching hips and feet tonight!
