Along the shore (Day 2541)

A different sort of day today.
The funeral of a customer down in South Ronaldsay meant I had planned the morning off work. Before heading off, I sorted out some paperwork and got the ferry booked for a trip overseas tomorrow.
I've never been to a Humanist funeral, but I hope they are all as nice as H's funeral today. The whole thing was done at the graveside under clear blue skies. H was a nature lover, and the sound of skylarks singing and curlews calling seemed a particularly appropriate background noise.
After a brief word with R, I headed home to get Sigyn out for a wander. Despite the cool breeze it was a fine walk, and by the time I we got home,  my beautiful wife had returned from doing hoss pedicures.
It being a fine afternoon, it seemed only right to get out on the horses again. George and Red enjoyed themselves as much as HV and I. A really good way to finish off the day.
