This weather suits the tulips

An hour and a bit spent on the plot this morning. Tying in the fruit on Liz's plot, plus pulling out the creeping buttercup. Next the shop, newspaper & prescription, then down to Mum. Shopping today, had a bit to do before we could head off as Mum only had 4 items written down, so we went through cupboards etc. as she is getting quite forgetful. List complete, off to Tesco's we went. I managed to tempt her with a couple of chilled ready meals, in the hope that we might find one that she actually finds tasty. Home for coffee & cake then back to base. Fed hubby, did the crossword in the paper, faffed in the garden for an hour then it was time for hubby's doctors appointment at Bovey Tracey. He was getting all fired up for a confrontation :-( BUT all ended happily with the doctor going through what needs to be prioritized & writing it down for hubby to show me. Great result! We now have to wait for an appointment for a fatty lump to be removed from his right hip, fingers crossed nothing to be concerned about, but obviously won't know until removed. Then investigate his stomach problem, either hernia or some medical term for a dodgy "6 pack". The joy of getting older!! He's now cvhanged to the practice in Chudleigh, same doctors but far more convenient for surgery & pharmacy. YAY!!! It's only taken me 2 years to get him to change. Think the fuel price increase might have helped.
