Rapenburg, Leiden

A lovely day out with Penny. 14069 steps so far!. Took the train to Leiden and started off with a cruise along the canals. The strolled over to the market area and had lunch at Ted's. Also good. Then we walked over to the Botanical Gardens and spent a good couple of hours enjoying that, finishing with a lemonade in their café. See extra of a rather fabulous plant (no idea - Maurice?). My other extra (pushing the boat out here) are of some replicas of some ancient beehives (c 1595) complete with bees and honey. 

Then we walked back to the station and home. for a Thai curry and a glass of fizz. Another good day.
