Bald Eagle’s Nest
I went back to Sterling State Park today, and I was able to see the Bald Eagle (Haliaeetus leucocephalus) in its nest again. I spoke with several people while they observed the nest from the trail with binoculars, and I was told that there are definitely eaglets in the nest, so the babies have hatched. I may have captured one of the young in this image directly in front of its mother. Hopefully, I’ll be able to get better images, and also see both parents feeding the eaglets in the future.
