Bullfrog

I came across this male American Bullfrog (Lithobates catesbeianus) during my walk, and he did not make it easy for me to get this portrait. I can’t believe that I saw the frog in the first place because it was so thoroughly hidden by the dead leaves and twigs beside the trail. It was impossible to get a clear photograph of him. I settled for this image, because I did not want to stress him out by trying to get any closer.
