Our run of bad luck continues! I had to work first thing. Mike spent the morning organising the van to be towed to the garage. This afternoon we planned to canoe at Spring lakes. Mike got the car all packed up but during the drive the wind really picked up. We got there and got the canoe off the roof but it looked like the wind was just going to pick it up out of the car park so we gave it up for a bad job. 

Thought we'd go via barrow and see if a bit calmer. You can launch at the pub there. Went to turn into the car park and it was closed for a private function. We could have tried elsewhere but we'd had enough by that point so we went and bought some big cakes at the deli in Swithland then went to do the horses. Obviously more grumpiness tonight. Kids were squabbling and got sent to bed early. We're not having the best week really :0/
