Trip to the Zoo

The zoo had lions, zebra... And dinosaurs. Rupert clarified for me though that the dinosaurs weren't real. But were still scary. Katie loved them. And they both loved the bumpy slide. A good morning was had. Though Rupert refused to walk far, apparently he had bumped his knees and felt that justification for a day or two of being carried.

They called me on the way back from the zoo to fess up that uncle Simon had smashed Katie's brand new phone. And tell me about the dinosaurs.

They went home for lunch and a chill and were planning to go to the park, if Rupert decided his legs would function! Katie sent me a few messages - she'd been due to spend Christmas with Simon and Co but he got covid. Most of her Christmas gifts were mailed to her but she got a late one today. A very impressive parcel with a gorgeous pair of trainers, trousers socks and a bunch of treats from Ruperts Uncle William. She was rather excited. Made up for the phone perhaps!

Back to school tomorrow, via a phone shop.
