Northampton Station ...

... and we're almost home !  We took the Amtrak Vermonter train from the MoynihanTrain Hall in NYC, arriving at this open-air station (behind us is the original full-scale station with a proper roof, now unused).  Our house is fifteen minutes walk away--Marylee returned soon in our car for me and our luggage (mainly two suitcases and a backpack which we brought back from Paris).
For the fun of it I'm posting an extra image of shadows on the platform taken on our stop in New Haven, where we change engines from electric to diesel.  (We're experiencing railroad history, in a sense :).
