Wilding?

Walking around Bristol I note lots of uncut verges and gardens which in the past have been manicured. 

Is this uncut appearance part of rewilding as a contribution to the global warming agenda or is it a cynical way of cutting cost and effort?

There is of course a massive upside and these bluebells are one of them.
