En Suite?

Seen on a visit to Sulgrave, the ancestral home of George Washington whose family arrived here in Northamptonshire from north west and previously north east England in the early 1500s. And 7 generations later George was born in North America…. I think.

This was in one of the bedrooms and comprised washing bowl, soap, night light and a gazunder.. I also think . Could be washing water?? I didn’t check.

The house was built for the family but fell into disrepair but was renovated by a mixed group celebrating the friendship between the American and British people from 1912 onwards.
