The Springtime Blues

I was up before dawn today to get out to do the first of my annual Breeding Bird Surveys. It was overcast, but the cloud was high and there was no wind so it was a pleasant morning. As well as the birds, there were lots of Spring flowers on the road verges and in the woodland - primroses, wood anemones, violets and swathes of bluebells.
