How wonderful is this

Two weeks ago when we visited the parents we were telling dad about my brick fascination.

This week when we went, he showed me the one in the house wall ( how had I never seen that before) and gave me this one.

A garden wall a few houses away from them was damaged in the winter storms. It was built with these. Currently being rebuilt with new bricks, so dad salvaged this for me!

Particularly special as Carlton Main and Grimethorpe are two of the greatest brass bands.

I am so pleased with it.
