In your arms...

A long day that started at 5.30am. Late morning a friend dropped mum and I off at the RUH where mum had four back to back appointments in preparation for her big op on Friday. While she was having treatment, I visited the Spiritual Care Centre courtyard garden and enjoyed the peace and quiet, and the sunshine, though it was such a sun trap that I had to move to the shade! It’s been a really beautiful Spring blue sky day.

Five long hours later my brother, who’d just arrived home after a 28 hour journey, picked us up from the hospital, then headed out again to collect fish and chips for tea. Once everyone was home, we started our three days of household isolation. My brother flew from Singapore via Helsinki so brought us a sack load of Finnish goodies, including reindeer and moose meat, Moomin fudge and a bottle of 30% proof Hanki Jaloviina, which we’re now sampling, and enjoying! Kippis!!
