Back to digging
Not a grave, but a spot for some more potatoes. The soil is so dry that my boots are clean - we really need some rain to get the plots going.
At times like this I need to remind myself that we are just allotment holders, not subsistence farmers, where rain at the right time can be the difference between life and death.
Although times are getting so difficult for many families, we are blessed in many ways in this country.
