Relics
Our Ramblers group had a very enjoyable 7.5-mile walk today in and around Mugdock Country Park and along part of both the West Highland Way and the John Muir Way. It stayed dry and the sun even decided to make an appearance towards the end.
We had our first break at the ruins of Mugdock Castle (main photo) and our route passed the legendary Carbeth Huts towards the end of the walk and before we re-entered the parkland. The extras show some of us on the West Highland Way and passing Craigend Castle in the Country Park..
Whether one wishes to apply the title of this entry to the castles or to our walkers is a matter of personal preference.
