No Surprises

Yes, it's tulips again.  And there are a few more still to open in the garden. This year's selection have all been huge - I don't know if that's down to the weather conditions, or if I didn't notice something on the website I ordered them from. Another thing that's unusual this year, instead of withering into the contorted shapes I love so much, they are shedding their petals. Or the first lot are: the second vaseful is at the full-blown and blousy stage and the third lot (in the picture) are so crammed into the vase that they've got no room to flop.

We gardened in the morning, and walked in the woods in the afternoon. The bluebells still aren't fully out!
