Flowering Mahonia

The mahonia has been striking throughout winter with its red leaves. Now it's put forth attractive flowers.

I slid out of bed this morning unable to control the fall. I had to crawl commando style to the bathroom where there were anchor points to help me up.

As a result, I have felt jaded all day. That's not much good is it?

I finished reading John Le Carré's The Night Manager.  The TV mini series with Tom Hiddleston, Hugh Laurie and Tom Hollander was much more satisfying. After finishing the book I was left wondering 'what happened to the worst man in the world?'
