Rainbow cake

Our last morning. Time to pay the tabs (ouch) and have a last look round. The bird ringers were out and showed us a goldfinch. 
We had a bit of lunch together in the beer garden and Rob and I shared a piece of rainbow cake!
It has been a lovely experience. The island only sleeps around 150 people and so when the day trippers have gone home, we have the island very exclusively for several days. Houses are not locked, and shopping and meals go on a tab so you feel very at home! 
We were with a great group of people and when we got back to Ilfracombe it really felt like The Breaking of the Fellowship!
The strange Damien Hurst sculpture greets you as you arrive at the harbour. Hard to know what to say about it, except that it’s very large!
