The plan was to have a walk along the beach..and then on to Ulverston.

The tide was out, there wasnt a breath of wind and it was quiet. A nice peaceful walk.

Quieter than usual because the road was closed. 2 men stood across the barricaded road turning back traffic and occasionally with great reluctance allowing a few people to drive through if they were only going "just up the road". Theyd have had fewer cars to divert if theyd put the ' road closed ' sign at the Barrow end of the road , and saved people a few miles of unnecessary driving.

We postponed the Ulverston trip till tomorrow.

Fletch chose a different route for his teatime walk tonight. We went past the remains of the old paper mills before walking along a wooded path.  This building looks completely  derelict but there is some sort of workshop there, hidden behind the piles of wrecked cars.

Extra is of the view in the opposite direction of apple blossom.  Probably grown from a discarded apple core years earlier the tree is looking lovely at the moment, especially as it is surrounded by brambles and tucked under an electricity pylon.
