Bromeliad

I have had many Bromeliads planted in my garden recently and this is the first one to flower.  I look forward to many more flowering - would be nice if they all flowered at the same time.
Today has been a good day getting organised for our holiday - it was a major achievement to get hubby T to try on clothes and decide what to take. I am trying so hard to be organised well ahead of time and not have the last minute panic that seems to happen.....
On a worrying note, day zero for our water supply is rapidly approaching. If the dam levels drop much more, 40% of our city will be without water by the end of May. The 40% includes our village. Sadly many people don't see the urgency of using less water. The good rains we had recently, once again didn't  fall in the catchment areas.
