RSPB Lochwinnoch

Had a great morning out at Lochwinnoch. 
Started with a walk at Castle Semple Loch and woodland trail. The car park was full of model yacht racers, it looked like a big event for  them and would probably have been the subject of my blip had we not then gone round to RSPB Lochwinnoch.
From the hide we watched a heron stalking through the reeds before taking off, saw lots of lovely wildflowers in the woodland then, on the way back to the car, the highlight of my day was getting some close up shots of a male great spotted woodpecker, what a beautiful bird!
