HOME IMPROVEMENTS

I'm sure there are more Meadow Pipits than Skylarks at the clifftop cemetery. They have the same habit of soaring skywards if anything goes too close to their nests hidden on the ground, and then dropping down and landing on something prominent far enough away to distract the intruder, but without the lovely Skylark song to go with the flight. This one looks as though it was in the middle of some nest titivation when I disturbed it.
