CONFUSING NEW WORLD

There were a few tiny fluffy things in the park today - well-behaved young coots sticking close together and to their parents (also extra), and a couple of brand new ducklings who were far too intrepid for their own good in their quest to explore their new world. In the extra I think they had just emerged, still slightly sticky from their eggs. They ran towards me, jumped into the water and they were off, their frantic parents struggling to keep up with them! I fear they may not last the night.
