Trouble with a capital T

But cute trouble. This is a ground hog/wood chuck/whistle pig/land beaver.... and they love gardens...  I noticed him/her (probably a her and she will have babies and then where will we be??) the other day as it scurried under the mudroom. Here it is sitting on the farm house deck and I'm up in our living space above the garage. Can you see how big those claws are? They are good diggers!! In the extra it just went bloop and was gone under the deck.
We are a bit worried about our gardens. We will beef up our fences and see what happens. Catching and releasing them doesn't really work well. Let's hope for a peaceful co-existence...
