In the middle of a park

A huge horse-chestnut tree.

Such a natural-looking setting within Ashcombe Park, Weston-super-Mare!

The day began with lots of heavy rain, but the fine, penetrating stuff that's good for the garden. After it stopped, the day remained grey and miserable, but without being useful at the same time. I think there will be more of the wet stuff this week.

Had a lovely roast lunch with M&W - it's become quite a ritual now. And a very nice one, too.
