Diary of an Edinburgher

Sunday papers instead

Not much done today. By me. JR did lots - gym, supermarket, long walk with Archie (17, 657 steps).

Actually, I did get quite a lot of the Sunday papers read.

A friend cancelled an afternoon visit, so we had a good idea of taking the bus down to the West End, walking to Dean Village, and back along the Water of Leith to Stockbridge. A bus was just coming, according to the very handy bus app, and so we set off to the bus stop. But JR had forgotten her bus pass, and it was too late to go back (didn’t want to pay £1.50!) so Plan B - A walk along to Bruntsfield and thence to Braidburn Valley Park.

But I piked out -  we came to a bus stop, I checked the aforementioned very handy bus app, and yes - a bus was due, so I came back home. Besides, the other two can go much faster without me. I was too hot - it’s hard to know what to wear when setting off for a walk, as the weather can be so changeable. I had a jumper on, as well as a jacket, but it came out hot and sunny, and I hate carrying stuff.

I go for my Covid booster tomorrow. I must be on some NHS list or other, as JR hasn’t got an invite yet. But I see you don’t have to isolate now in Scotland if you have Covid.

We binged on Ozark last night and finished it tonight. Brilliant.
