Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2022 Sunday — Day 1 Month 5

A big beautiful bouquet sits here on the coffee table. Four white round hydrangeas border the vase and twenty carnations, half are solid red and the other half are white with red edges are in the center a little taller than the hydrangeas. BUT the little jar of geranium buds caught my attention. So that explains my photo.

We’ve enjoyed a soothing Sunday. We woke early, did our daily Scripture reading, participated in the 8:00 a.m. worship at Calvary Chapel, walked the perimeter of our neighborhood, enjoyed a bowl of Greek yogurt with fruit, and then a late breakfast of scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, and whole grain toast.

Later in the afternoon I gave our pup Mitzi, a shih tzu, a haircut. She has skin warts, bumps, and lots of little skin abnormalities, that increase as she gets older. Sometime ago a veterinarian told us that shih tzus are bred to not shed their fur and that causes the problems with their skin. So I don't like to take her to the groomer because the brushing and the shearing of her fur makes all those bumps and warts bleed. I use scissors and give her one wreck of a hairdo. I need to do a little more scissoring tomorrow and then I will bath and blow-dry her fur. She was delighted today when I was finished. She does a great job of sitting and holding still, but it's obvious that she'd rather be doing something else.

Then we enjoyed a later than usual dinner and a pleasant evening.

And that was the first day and the first Sunday of May.
God bless you,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
