morning

This was the view from my bivvy bag when I woke up this morning. I'd chosen to sleep under the cherry tree, not far from the house. It was a warm and dry night and I slept really well.

I was hoping to wake up to hear the first bird begin the dawn chorus (usually a blackbird) but I slept on until 5am when they were all in full voice. It was lovely. I thought about walking to the bluebell wood to look for badgers but it was too comfy in the bivvy bag so I went back to sleep until 8am, when I took this photo.
