No idea why there are gold hippos on Eastbourne pier.

The best I can guess is it's something to do with the Hippodrome Theatre? And why theatres are even called 'Hippodromes' is another mystery!

Still, we had a lovely day out, despite the fact that I could hardly walk. Lots of people on mobility scooters, à la Benidorm - won't be long until I need one at this rate!
