Family gathering

A rather low key gathering at R's house of the various members of my side of the family who had made it to Sweden. R had valiantly organised a barbeque, with salad and other snacks, but sadly is missing from this photo as she was busy elsewhere when I took it.  Subsequent photos with R in are all missing someone else - did someone mention herding cats?

W provided the useful assistance of lighting the barbeque, whilst I supervised the making of burgers - I don't think I was much active help there - R has clearly gained considerable expertise. 

Also missing at this point were Z and S.  Z was very sorry for herself the morning after her big day, which had got her out of clearing up duties.  S and his family, with G's help in providing transport, had spent the morning clearing the venue.  G, on getting home, was then able to perform the usual male role at barbeques, getting smoke inhalation.

By the time they arrived most of us had eaten our fill of the burgers and sausages, and then moved inside the conservatory, as the sun gradually moved off the patio.  We had kept them some food.

A lovely relaxing afternoon - very grateful to R for providing the space and the catering.
