Moorhen chick

Botanic Gardens, Edinburgh

There were at least four young moorhen exploring the main pond and making feeble sounding 'meep' noises.  They tried to gather around an adult at one point but the adult was having none of it.

Lots of beautiful colours in the gardens, as the rhododendron are out and the azaleas are starting to flower.  Even on a grey and overcast day there was brightness to be found.
