Roedd ffair ar y comin heddiw mewn dathliad mis Mai. Doedd hi ddim yn draddodiadol - doedd dim bedwen Fai yna - ond roedd hi'n fwy prysur ac yn fwy diddorol na rhai blynyddoedd blaenorol. Roedd llawer o stondinau yna yn gwerthu gwaith crefft a fwyd hefyd. Roedd yr awyrgylch yn dda iawn.

Fel arfer gwnes i ffeindio fy hun yn meddwl am y 'cwmpas gweithredu' neu 'radiws digwyddiad' mewn amser ac yn y gofod.  Mae'r ffair yn dod i fodolaeth, yn aros am dipyn, ac yna mae'n diflannu. Fel rydych chi'n cerdded i'r ffair rydych chi'n gallu teimlo eich hunain dod yn rhan ohono, a phan ddych chi'n dechrau cerdded adre rydych chi'n gadael y swigen. Ond ble? Ar ôl pa gam rydych chi'n du allan o'r swigen? Ond pryd? Pryd mae'n dechrau pryd mae'n gorffen? Ni fydd yno yfory... Rydyn symud trwy swigod o amser a gofod... fel Doctor Pwy?

There was a fair on the common today in celebration of May. It wasn't traditional - there was no Maypole there - but it was busier and more interesting than some previous years. There were many stalls there selling craft and food as well. The atmosphere was very good.

As usual I found myself thinking about the 'radius of action' or 'event radius' in time and space. The fair comes into existence, stays for a while, and then disappears. As you walk to the fair you can feel yourself getting involved, and when you start walking home you leave the bubble. But where? After which step you are out of the bubble? But when? When does it start and when does it finish? it won't be there tomorrow... We move through bubbles of time and space ... like Doctor Who?
