What a difference ...

... a day makes! Yesterday I photographed our parasol in a heavy shower, and today we sat under it to have our lunch in the sunshine! Admittedly it was a bit chilly, but very pleasant nevertheless.

We went out to vote in the local Council elections this morning, and then I've spent the rest of the day doing family tree work. I've discovered lots of new things, and I was very sad to find out that a cousin of mine, three times removed, was one of two people killed in a railway accident in the 19th century when two workmen's trains collided early in the morning at Bishopsgate Station in London. My cousin was 57, but the other fatality was a 15 year old boy. How desperately sad.
