Elterwater Scenes
A day spent mostly in and around our lodge. Clockwise from top left, the collage shows Elterwater Common, a pied wagtail and one of the local Herdies, plus a close up of some of the mossy stones in the Great Langdale Beck which runs behind our lodge. There’s not a lot of water coming down at the moment, but it still looks very pretty.
I love opening our bedroom curtains in the morning and looking out over the beck. More often than not there will be wagtails or dippers to be seen, and occasionally a heron will fly downstream as well.
