White Lilies

My mother called Pheasant Eye Narcissus 'White Lilies'.

I like to think that these exquisite flowers where what Ben Johnson had in mind when he wrote
'Have you seen but a white lily grow
Before rude hands have touched it
Have you marked but the fall of snow
Before the earth hath smutched it...'.
