Cinco de Mayo

Actually, I don't have a picture for today, so I'm cheating and using one from our last Mexico trip a few weeks ago. Lunch, overlooking the ocean of course, was inevitably tacos. Shrimp tacos for sure.
Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican victory over the French at Puebla in 1862. Notice I say commemorates, not celebrates.
The celebrations happen north of the border, not in Mexico. It might be a holiday, but its' not a party for the most part.

Ah well...
