Steak and kidney pie and chips

Having spent a considerable portion of my day sitting in lines of traffic due to construction, road repairs, accidents, etc, the boss' suggestion that we cook up some frozen pies was eagerly accepted. An egg wash on the pastry was her brilliaint idea too. Although we still haven't found a brand of oven chips to our complete liking, this batch was edible, certainly not stellar. The search continues for that brand.
