A Very Fondant Fondant
Another 8am, don't they realise that assistants have lives too! Only 7 of my pupils made it to my class so we just sort of dossed around for a while. I've not been a great assistant but I've survived the year. Spent an hour finishing my translation then had another class with my terminale. They're so lovely but English is definitely not their speciality, they all want to be nurses. Spent most of the class just chatting to them in French.
Got home and hid in my room because I couldn't deal with the stress of helping Laura cook for her birthday party part II. I had translation to be getting on with.
At 12 I went to meet Yolande for a lunch of lentil pie at hers. Spent the afternoon delivering bread, chatting to Maricia about various things and making chocolate fondants that definitely weren't cooked. In fact, they were just liquid cake mix but they tasted so good. Played petanque for the first time, I was so rubbish but I felt so French. Helped Yolande with English practice for her CAPES on Wednesday.
In the evening she dropped me off in town and I went to spend the evening with Elsa because Ludovic was out at a conference on Constantinople (?!) Had some interesting confersation and watched some FPCFPC. Such a relaxing sunny day.
